Deepika Padukone is the daughter born on January 15, 1986 to former Badminton Champion Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone. Though Deepika played badmindon during her school and college days she did not choose it her as her career option, but turned into modelling. Before taking up the Bollywood with her acting skills Deepika Padukone appeared in several print and television commercials like Liril, Limca and Close-up. She was also the brand ambassador for Jewels of India and the face of Maybelline. She also appeared in the 2006 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar. she also was part of one of Himesh Reshamiya's Music Video. Her debut film was a Kannada Movie Aishwarya opposite Upendra in 2006. Her debut film in Hindi 'Om Shanti Om' opposite Sharukh Khan was a super duper hit and won her many awards. She is known to be dating Actor Ranbir Kapoor with whom she acted in the Movie Bachna Hai Haseeno. However, none of the movies she acted after Om Shanti Om managed to help in her Career as an actress.
